Shri Sudhansu Sekhar Sahoo
Government Polytechnic, Dhenkanal started in 1986. The Government of Odisha created it to help more women join technical education.
We were first called Women's Polytechnic, Dhenkanal until 2011. In 2011, the government changed our name to Government Polytechnic, Dhenkanal. Now we accept all students.
We work under the Skill Development & Technical Education (SDTE) Department, Government of Odisha. We are affiliated with the State Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training, Odisha. AICTE, New Delhi also approves our programs.

To prepare students to meet the socio economic needs of the industry and Society.
