Shri Sudhansu Sekhar Sahoo
Established in 1986 by the Government of Odisha, Government Polytechnic, Dhenkanal was founded with the vision of promoting women's participation in technical education. Originally known as Women's Polytechnic, Dhenkanal, our institution served under that name till 05.1.2011. The institute was redesignated as Government Polytechnic, Dhenkanal through Government of Orissa, Industries Department Resolution No.IX-TTI-05/2011 232/I on 05.1.2011. The institute operates under the administrative oversight of the Director of Technical Education & Training & Industries Department, Government of Odisha. We are affiliated with the State Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training, Odisha, Bhubaneswar and hold approval from AICTE, New Delhi.
Currently, the institute functions under the administrative purview of the Skill Development & Technical Education (SDTE) Department, Government of Odisha.
